Pendants made of Gilla jasper

Our latest discovery from our expedition through the wild west of Arizona (USA) is this colorful stone with the same pattern as the Gila monster lizard!  The discovery place of this amazing colorful rock lies in the Gila County around the Gila River, so we set the new name of Gila Jasper very fast.  Geological, respectively petrografical belong this little silicificated rock among broad spectrum of slight metamorphic rocks – spotted slates and hornfelses.
