Ruby-Kyanite-Fuchsite Sphere

These gemstone spheres are unique not only for their pattern and high-gloss polish, but also for their special mineralogical composition.

The blue color of the natural stone comes from the predominant Kyanite (also known by the old name Disthene), in which small grains and crystals of red Ruby – some up to 5 mm in size – are embedded. Accumulations and bands of chrome-fuchsite mica (Fuchsite) give the sphere shimmering green tones in places.
