Ulexite, the "TV stone" or "TV rock"

an interesting borate mineral. Ulexite is mostly fibrouse in nature. The fibres intergrowns into fell like agregates and exhibits transmission of light similar as a glass fiber. Becouse of its natural optic character is the ulexite popularly called as TV rock. The name Ulexite honors the German chemist and politician George Ludwig Ulex, who first correctly analyzed this mineral.
