This pendant transforms a unique geological feature into an exquisite piece of jewelry. The "Amethyst Sun" from Uruguay, also known as an "Amethyst Flower" or "Amethyst Blossom" is a cross-section of a pseudo-stalactite (only calcite/limestone formations are technically called "stalactites").
This slice, polished on both sides, features a nearly colorless crystal rim that creates a striking contrast with the dark inner ring of celadonite.
The sterling silver (925) bail adds an elegant accent and is securely set.
