This reference collection includes ten beautifully fluorescent minerals under shortwave and longwave UV light. The collection is intended both for practical exercises and demonstrations in school lessons, and as a foundation for a new mineral collection for beginners, as well as advanced collectors. The selected minerals are stored in a wooden box measuring 26.1 x 9.1 x 3.6 cm, which is divided by white boxes into 10 compartments of 37 x 37 mm. Whenever possible, we try to select the UV minerals so that they fill the space of the white boxes as best as possible. Each mineral that fluoresces under UV light is accompanied by a label indicating which wavelength it glows under and which color it emits. The names of the UV minerals are listed inside the lid in three languages – Czech, German, and English.
