Polished slab of Schalenblende. The characteristic layers are Sphalerit which is alternatingly stacked in yellow and brownish bands. The outer rim is built by pyrite and marcasite, typical inclusions are of galenite. This beautiful Schalenblende with contrastful bands from Olkuz in Poland is often used as lapidary material.
