Top gem quality of yellow-green, lustrous pure crystals of fluorapatite from Mexico iron deposit in Durango. The well contrasting translucent Fluorapatite in the quartz-hematite matrix is accompanied with long prismatic crystals of diopside-hedenbergit (pyroxene group). The longest pyroxene crystal measure 1,6 cm in length and is about 4 mm thick.The biggest well terminated Fluorapatite crystal reach 1,7 cm. Fluorapatite crystals are a secondary mineral in this mexican iron deposit. Smaller but very nice and aesthetic specimen from Cerro de Mercado.
